The beginning

I had no Java background, and, although the syntax is similar to other languages, there is a long way to be proficient in a new language.

So I’ve decide to enroll to a Java training program. I’ve just finished it, and I’d say it worth the time and money. It was a beginner course and it helped me to get started.

Before this course I’ve watched some RIM’s tutorials and I found hard to understand certain basics features, like the Managers. This course wasn’t oriented to BB but it covered an introduction to Swing development.

I’m also reading the book Beginning Blackberry Development, and so far it’s being excellent. Very basic and very objective, with good examples.

I’m now planning my first Blackberry application, and I’ll post here my findings.
